Auxilio’s Image Management Maturity Model (IM3™) is the industry’s first model that helps organizations identify key practices and tools to decrease cost and increase the quality and effectiveness of its document image management process. In this context Image Management is defined as the process of planning, directing and accounting for the resources, participants and outcomes of image activity within an organization. An Image is defined as all documents that are printed, copied, scanned or faxed.

IM3™ helps you design a unique strategy to address your hospital’s needs. You will move toward a well defined Image Management Program, linked to your hospital’s key objectives by progressing through these well defined stages of IM3™. Each stage represents a different phase in your hospital’s image management evolution from elementary to advanced. By providing the key characteristics for each stage, you know where to begin and where to go with each next step.

If you are looking for guidance on planning and improving your hospital’s document image management process, Auxilio’s unique IM3™ Assessment can help. You will be able to begin pulling all the pieces of the image management process together that will be critical to your success. Think of it as a puzzle coming together, with Stage 5 of the model having all the components tightly integrated.

In the beginning of a hospital’s IM3™ Assessment some of the pieces of the puzzle are engaged and some not at all. As you move forward with your strategy, you will work on engaging more pieces of the puzzle. The end result? All the pieces of the process are optimized.

The IM3™ Assessment is comprised of three components: Financial, Operational and Strategic.

Financial: Auxilio’s well trained experts find ALL expenses associated with your image management process, including all the hard costs represented by actual dollars you spend on the process. We provide a financial report that contains a comprehensive five-year pro-forma, detailing every aspect of your spend so that you have full cost visibility.

Operational: There are multiple components that need to be in sync for the process to work optimally. Auxilio examines all of these components, links them to the processes, the processes to business goals, the business goals to budgets, until the puzzle comes together.

Strategic: There is strategy present but it is usually ad hoc and found in silos across the hospital. The I.T. and Materials departments each have their own plans, while Senior Management’s goals influence the process as well. Auxilio helps bring all this together to form one cohesive strategic plan and we link this to an action plan with real goals. Implementation leads to an improved, more cost effective process that has a positive impact on employee morale and productivity.

At the end of the IM3™ Assessment, you will better understand your hospital’s current position within the image management process. You will be in a position to strategize on a level you cannot today. Plus, you will see the elements you need to work on to close the gap and move your hospital forward in the maturity model.

Auxilio’s IM3™ Assessment will help you answer some challenging questions.
•  Good image management programs have clearly defined leaders that cross functions. Who is yours?
•  Do you have a silo process in your hospital? If so, consolidating the effort is paramount.
•  What are the redundancy plans in place for down-time with the process?
•  Are vendors measured on anything but technical repairs? If not, they should be approached to provide more strategic assistance.
•  Do you have budget visibility for document production at the department level?

Our clients are able to immediately act on the strategic findings and suggestions contained in the IM3™ Assessment, and there is an improved understanding of the components of the process for all.
