Contract
includes early renewal of the System’s largest campus
Mission
Viejo, CA – October 12, 2011 – AUXILIO, Inc. (AUXO.OB), the pioneer in Managed
Print Services (MPS) for the health care industry, announced a renewal of its comprehensive
master service agreement (MSA) for its MPS program with Saint Alphonsus Health
System (SAHS) through 2016 which is worth approximately $12 million in revenue over the life of
the contract. SAHS is a 714-bed organization with four hospitals in the
Northwest, including Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) - the
largest campus and one of AUXILIO’s earliest MPS customers since 2007.
Signaling further validation of the value of AUXILIO’s unique MPS program to
the health care industry, the MSA results in an early renewal for SARMC. SAHS has over 4,300 employees, a medical
staff of more than 950 and is a member of Trinity Health, the fourth-largest
Catholic health care system in the country.
“Health care
is undergoing a seismic change in how it provides care to patients, shares
information, reduces waste and controls costs,” said Joseph J. Flynn, president
and chief executive officer of AUXILIO. “We are proud to have earned the
confidence of this prestigious institution and will continue to work hard with
our SAHS partners to help them redirect scarce resources back into patient care
and meet the demands of federal mandates toward meaningful use compliance and their
overall strategic goals.”
“AUXILIO’s Resident Team members have
consistently demonstrated to us that they are true partners with our leadership
and caregivers,” said Adrian Wengert, SARMC Supply Chain Director. “Their innovative
and customized strategies align their MPS program in ways that precisely
support our strategic goals of delivering quality patient care to the communities
we serve. Our electronic records strategy and implementation in 2010, was a
prime example of how we all worked together on a complicated and complex
transformation to achieve a common goal.”
AUXILIO was
a key member of the SARMC Genesis Project to coordinate and implement electronic
health records (EHR) management into its clinical and business practices. The AUXILIO Resident Team conducted a
complete document process and workflow audit of each area of the hospital and
delivered an in-depth situational analysis that examined usage patterns and
efficiency needs. The outcomes of this extensive review contributed to the
successful implementation of SARMC’s EHR, a smooth transition toward hardware
and software interoperability, continued volume reduction and maximized
document management process efficiencies.
Since
AUXILIO’s start in 2004, the company has been on a trajectory of growth and
success. AUXILIO is the only MPS company in the U.S. that works exclusively in
hospitals and health care system and which provides full-time, on-site Resident
Teams to its hospital customers. The company has achieved 100 percent customer
retention as the preferred MPS company at over 700 health care entities,
including acute and specialty care hospitals and hospital systems, administrative
and support offices, and other medical and clinical care facilities. Its
unique, vendor-neutral business model benefits its customers by delivering the
“highest value, best price” with every hardware manufacturer. Today, AUXILIO
manages over 3 billion documents and nearly 30,000 devices of all types and
