Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Signs Five-year Contract with Auxilio to Cut Costs and Improve Efficiencies through Managed Print Services

The health care industry’s leader in Managed Print Services (MPS), announced that Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (WDH), one of the largest acute care and multi-specialty hospitals in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and Southern Maine, signed a five-year contract for its MPS program that targets 30 percent savings in the hospital’s print environment through volume reduction initiatives, device and supply chain management and improvements in document workflow processes. The contract deepens Auxilio’s reach into New England health organizations, and is part of the company’s marketing alliance with Sodexo, a leading global provider of Quality of Life Service Solutions.

Auxilio’s unique and proprietary MPS program includes a full time, on-site staff of print services expert who will work with WDH’s management team and caregivers to deliver its health care exclusive, vendor neutral print management services. The contract includes all expenses related to the production of documents, including services, supplies, equipment, finance charges and labor.

“We are proud to have earned the confidence of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to execute our print volume reduction and savings solutions,” said Joseph J. Flynn, President and CEO of Auxilio. “Our team of document management and technical experts will work hard to customize and structure a print strategy with hospital administrators and caregivers that will result in significant expense reductions and improved operating efficiency in the organization’s print environment.”

“We were impressed with Auxilio’s assessment of our print environment and the potential savings and improvements to our document processes that were uncovered during the comprehensive analysis,” said Jeff Pollock, VP and Chief Information Officer of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. “Our hospital is committed to serving our community and addressing the needs of all our patients, and we are confident that Auxilio’s methodology for continuous process improvement and management will drive down expenses and assist us in better managing our finances and assets in our print environment.”

“Auxilio’s managed print services strategy provides millions of dollars in savings and advanced process efficiencies for hospitals across the country,” said Patrick Connolly, Sodexo Health Care Market President. “Given the financial pressures hospitals are experiencing today, we work to identify, recommend and implement cost effective measures and we have found that Auxilio provides multiple benefits including streamlining accurate record-keeping, reducing redundancy and increasing productivity of equipment and personnel.”

Auxilio’s accelerated pace of signing new, expanded or extended contracts with health care organizations across the country is due to the company’s unique health care exclusive and vendor neutral position in the MPS industry. The company is at the forefront of providing hospitals with specialized knowledge of urgent care print environments that ensures cost reduction, assistance with e-records execution and on-site planning as a strategy partner to reduce volume substantially. Recently, it was recognized by its peers as a “true pioneer” in the MPS industry for its work in hospitals, and cited as a best-of-breed independent document management service provider for its “risk-free model, with no upfront costs and advanced skill and knowledge of EMR readiness strategies for health care” organizations seeking best practices to control costs and manage existing hardware and software investments.
